What you get

- Upload PDF, CSV or QFX statements. Each row becomes a transaction you keep and can search, not an answer that scrolls away.
- CSV and QFX files are read on our own server and never sent anywhere as files. If you turn on AI categorization (off by default), Claude sees store names, masked descriptions and rounded amounts.
- A PDF statement goes to Claude, Anthropic’s AI, with a fixed extraction prompt and nothing added: no account ID, email or other transactions. Anthropic does not train on it and deletes it within 30 days.
- We keep the PDF only until you save or discard the import, or for 14 days after a failed read so you can retry.
- Copies are left out, and rows are sorted for you by 450+ default merchant and keyword rules, plus the rules Zedi can learn from your fixes.
- A PDF statement that prints its balances is checked against its own printed totals before you save.

Is it safe to upload a bank statement to an AI?+
It depends on where it goes, so here is Zedi’s answer. A CSV or QFX file is read on our server and is not sent to an AI as a file. A PDF statement goes to Anthropic’s Claude with only an extraction prompt; Anthropic does not train on it and deletes it within 30 days. Your rows stay in our database, walled off from every other user.
What do I get after uploading?+
A list of transactions you keep and can search: copies left out, card payments and Venmo cash-outs paired, and rows sorted into categories. You can see your top categories over time and click into any number.
How many statements can I upload for free?+
CSV and QFX uploads are free with no limit. You get 10 PDF scans a month on our key, reset on the 1st; past that, use your own Anthropic key or Pro.
